As mentioned in a previous post, I have just taken up a new job as Aviation Historian at the Royal Air Force Museum. Something I want to begin to do is generate an email list of students engaged in masters and doctoral research in the field of air power and aviation. This is not limited to history per se but covers the field more broadly to include areas such as geography, sociology and archaeology amongst others. Personally, I am always interested to hear about other people’s research and what is going on within the field. At this moment it is completely informal but may provide for further foundations. However, the museum is an excellent asset and deserves to be utilised more broadly than it sometimes is.  Drop me an email at
