War Cabinet (ukwarcabinet) on Twitter

This is a great post-blogging project using the social media Twitter. The purpose of it is to:

Watch WWII unfold day by day through original Cabinet Papers from 1940 held at The National Archives.

This shows what a great tool sites like Twitter can be. There is a lot of stuff that is not very good but if you follow this site you will get an insight into the decision-making process within the British War Cabinet. There is a companion website to the project and if click on the links on the posts it will take you to the minutes to download for free.

An example is this post from 3 hours ago:

Reynaud requests three UK division be redeployed to Western front and RAF fighters to be based in French aerodromes http://ow.ly/1SXt4

All in all a great project that deserves to be followed.
